things i like: richard misrach’s on the beach

misrach’s highly anticipated on the beach weaves a compelling story about the relationship between people and water - and how, through a careful balance, it brings us both together and apart in our infinite existence.

the large-format (20”x16”) acetate-jacketed book features 38 four-color images across 80 pages. released last fall, the first (and only) edition has already sold out in most places, driving the book’s price to over $400 at some retailers. fortunately, a few copies at the original release price appear to be available here.

highly recommended, either as a coffee table book or to cut and frame a few of the pages. and to learn more about richard misrach, you can check out his page on wikipedia.
